I remember that the first time at Hong Kong Victoria Peak to overlook Victoria Harbour was in the evening, and there was a protrusion of the fog event. Although exposured to the highest point of Hong Kong, what in the face of was a cloud of white, could not see anything clearly, just smelt of the slightly damp marked coolness in the air. This time did not climb on the Victoria Peak, directly boarded on the boat at Victoria Harbour, it felt like a direct fall into a psychedelic dream.
Even sitting in the cabin, still could hear the sound of the water flow and the impact of the boat, but was actually slow and soft. I remember that during the day passing the harbor and saw the flying seagull near and far, like a romantic nature, just to tune the rhythm of modern man rush. Now, Victoria Harbour had revealed the dark blue that no one could describe, and gradually increased as ink blue, dark gray, light black, the seagulls chirping had also been allayed.
Beginning to rise was that many of the lights, like millions of birds flying back to nest to habitate. How bright it was, the lights outlined the whole Island. Wen Chai Convention Center lights were bright as washing thoroughly; Bank of China Tower was like sword made with ice; Central Plaza was like crystal stalagmites; the open-air stage and the billboards were also shown off their own marginal by the bright lights, and the Victoria Peak after everything of this, was full of the little light, such as the spread of the stars, blurred but trance. At the moment, Hong Kong in day was all hidden into the light, as if the dazzled lights was the only entity of Hong Kong. Victoria Harbour in front of eyes further strengthened the role of a dream. It was like a mirror, reflecting of Hong Kong and Kowloon, flowing tidal waves made the light and shadow seem to have uncertain ups and downs.
We did not expect the day of regret to become an advantage at the night, intensive residential lighting created a picture of luxury. Especially those neon lights, reflecting on the water in the sea of the rainbow, with wave moving as if the water creatures. Mind could not help feeling, there was no perfect world.
Suddenly felt the ship shaking up, I turned around and saw the top of the original cabin multicolored spotlights were all opened, a group of tourists were in the modern love song sung by the female singer, danced the disco. Those lights were like laser guns, firing without stopping, men and women were all distorted in the light, and everyone was cut into irregular artistic block. Their enthusiasm infected me, and I also wanted to be free. But when just standed up I felt dizzy, as if to fall down; that music was too loud, and light was also strongly secretive.
I sat down to re-look at the lights outside the window. This time looked at them, although still busy, but were exceptionally quiet. What beautiful sea, the colonists away from the ocean, but there were still many things stayed, such as the harbor's name, which they named after the Queen and retained.
What could not be taken away was this whole city, including the lighting. Hong Kong is really inch land inch money, even these light and shadow in the water are stacked out from money!
