This 10 days trip, I just felt shocked. Yunnan's scenery is so beautiful, the nature is so beautiful! I often recalled, watching the scenery along the way, that blue sky, with the car chase that rain in the mountains on this sunny hill side that day because of the rain made it black to form together a strange landscape. The turbulent Jinsha River, Shangri-La's green, the meadow, and mountains, trees and people blended together into brilliant colors, that feeling of excitement, the shock from the Pine Monastery, there was quietness, one minle sunshine occasionally leaked out from the clouds plexus, the laziness of Lijiang ancient town..... Along the way how many times I could not help but saying, it was really beautiful.
Early September, in a not the best travel time, we arrived in Lijiang. The following morning, after the rest, we detoured to take the prepared good car starting to Shangri-La, our destination is the mountain kingdom in a less famous mountain - Stone Card Snow Mountain. The special features of the Stone Cards Mountain is that on the summit you will also see several snow-capped mountains - the famous northwest main peak of Meili Snow Mountain Pilgrimage; on its left there is also the Myanmar Tsimshian peak; the same distinguished Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Mountain also appear in the southeast side.
From Lijiang to Shangri-La, the whole trip needs about 4 hours. Walking in the 214 national highway, in this very rural route feeling of the national highway trails, enjoying the " scenic road " charm, willow was alternating on both sides, and acacia trees, willow trees bend inside to form the shape of the forest vagina, ash expressed in a bright yellow stance in the sunshine indiscriminately rendering happy mood, people wanted to burst out singing in the late autumn peak. At noon, we went to a little restaurants for lunch next to Jinsha River, the specialty here are the river fish and chicken, which tasted good; green vegetables were particularly sweet, but the price could also catch up with the big city. After lunch, we continued on our way to small Zhongdian. On the way along the grass was dry; the driver said that the best time here is from June to October, during this time we would see a flourishing summer view, yellow, and black yaks were scattered on the land of wild flowers and green grass, on the way there were also many of the Tibetan residential areas.
The sun-drenched afternoon, we arrived at Shangri-La County, where is the only place on the world to see the eight snow-capped mountains at the same time. More than 3000 meters above sea level people can not take it lightly; we could clearly feel the air gradually thin, shortness of breath, began to pace and act as the elderly speed. However, altitude sickness was slowly coming and there was slight pain, but in fact just relax, slowly it would be all right. Stone Cards Mountain is closed from Shangri-La County, we chose to take cable car up the mountain which took about 4 km long, east of snow-capped mountains is the Shangri-La Prairie with the yak herds, west of the mountains is the surging Jinsha River; on the cable car, you could see the thin snow pressing the larch and other plants. Off the cable car, we had reached the mountain 's summit, that is, 4449.5 meters above sea level. My altitude sickness did not increase fortunately, and we had a good weather in the mountains that day, the Pilgrimage, Jade Dragon and Haba Snow Mountain were all presenting in front, which were very spectacular!
On the top of the stone card, the day was close, cloud seemed within reach, looking at every mountain far and near as if the God, the mind also became solemn and quiet. Almost sunset time, the mountains had almost no visitors, we encountered a pair of couples in the Peak, Dali girl Mei Lan and Belgians Steven. They started from 8 am, then walked from the Shangri-La County, hiked to reach the top of the snow-capped mountains in the afternoon. "We do not like the car, walking is the best way to travel, go on the road, you can be very close to it. Do not see the cable car, which is used to look like." At the top of stone card, in the immense mud on Steven and his excited eyes, we seemed to see the world like the beginning, time was freezing in here.
