  • Today, visit the most famous attractions in Shanghai with a local guide as company. The attractions today include the Bund, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the Nanjing Road, representatives of modernity, as well as the ancient City God Temple and the Jade Buddha Temple. In the afternoon, you will be sent back to the hotel.

    -The Bund: Also called the Zhongshan Road, it is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years, winding a 1500 meters (less than one mile) length. Walking along the Bund, which is at the west shore of the Huangpu River, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower can be seen on the opposite side and also the Jin Mao Tower.Being one of the Top Ten Shanghai Attractions, the Bund is a really beautiful and special place which is worth visiting. On the western side of Zhongyi Dongyi Road stand 52 buildings, showing various Chinese and foreign architectural styles, hence the name of "World Architecture Exposition in Modern Times"
    -Nanjing Road: Shanghai's main shopping street, enjoying the fame as "the No.1 commercial street of China", also it is one of the most prosperous streets in Asia.
    -Oriental Pearl TV Tower: Standing by the Huangpu River with a height of 468 meters high, Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia (up to the last floor to see Shanghai scenery).It is a new landmark of Shanghai in 21st century.
    -City God Temple: The City God Temple of Shanghai is a temple in the old city of Shanghai, China, and is today the central feature of a large retail and entertainment district. It originated as the Jinshan God Temple, dedicated to the spirit of Jinshan, or "Gold Mountain", an island off the coast of Shanghai. It was converted into a City God Temple in 1403, during the Yongle era of the Ming dynasty.
    -Jade Buddha Temple: It was founded in 1882 with two jade Buddha statues imported to S hanghai from Burma by sea. These were a sitting Buddha (1.95 metres tall, 3 tonnes), and a smaller reclining Buddha representing Buddha's death. The temple now also contains a much larger reclining Jade Buddha, donated from Singapore, and visitors may mistake this larger sculpture for the original, smaller piece.

  • Today is the climax of this tour—the Shanghai Expo Site. In the morning, you will be sent to the Expo Site and then you are free on your own to enter and visit the Site. In the afternoon, meet our guide at the exit and you will be sent back to your hotel in Shanghai.
  • Day 4 Shanghai  Suzhou

  • In the morning, you will be escorted to transfer to Suzhou, the city entitled "Heaven on Earth" for the beautiful and exquisite gardens. Enjoy visiting the Tiger Hill, the Lion Grove Garden and the Hanshan Temple and shopping on the antique Guanqian Street.

    -Hanshan Temple: It was originally built during the reign of Tianjian in the Liang Dynasty. The poem of "Mooring to the Maple Bridge at Night" by Zhang Ji of the Tang Dynasty is so oft-quoted and widely loved that the poetic rhyme and the bell-tolling sounds have made the Hanshan Temple famous at home and abroad.
    -Tiger Hill: Known also as Surging Sea Hill, Tiger Hill is a large hillock covering some14100 square meters (over three acres) and is 36 meters (118 feet) in height. Climbing the hill, you will find a number of historical sites some of which can be traced back over 2500 years to the founding of Suzhou
    -Lion Grove Garden: Compactly yet harmoniously spaced, the Lion Grove Garden has a prominent part for series of man-made mountains with various buildings around the lake ,and an artificial waterfall and cliffs at the edge of the lake on the west. Remains of the 14th century man-made mountains, covering 1,152 sq.m. and being the largest of all at Suzhou,can be still seen today.
    -Guanqian Street: In the evening, you have the chance to stroll along the Suzhou's most famous pedestrian street, the Guanqian Street. There are kinds of shops in traditional Chinese buildings.
  • Day 5 Suzhou  Hangzhou

  • In the morning, visit the No. 1 Silk Factory to get an idea of how silk is made and admire the gorgeous silk craftworks. This is followed by a visit to Tangshan Old Street, a great place for sightseeing and leisure. After that, transfer to Hangzhou and visit the Six Harmonies Pagoda. In the afternoon, the guide will lead you to your hotel in Hangzhou and check in.

    -No.1 Silk Factory: With a history of more than 80 years, Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory enjoys a good reputation in silk industry for its complete technical process of silk swarm raising, cocoon sorting, cocoon boiling and cocoon reeling, rewinding and packing. The high-grade silk produced in this factory is the best raw material for the product of high-quality silk fabrics.
    -Shan Tang Old Street: Shan Tang Old Street, a 3.5km long street, was called Baigong Embankment in ancient times. After reconstruction, Shan Tang Old Street now is a good place for tourism and leisure. It fully appears as a street with historic character and typical Suzhou outlook. At present, there are six sites: Jiangnan Cloth Museum of Ming and Qing Dynasty, Antai Jiuhuo Hui, Old stage, Tingzhou Hall, Old Suzhou Teahouse and Former residence of Wu Yipeng (a scholar in Ming Dynasty). While wandering on street, you could view many old temples, halls, etc. and taste the traditional food of Suzhou.
    -Six Harmonies Pagoda: Located on the Yuelun Hill besides Qiantang River in Hangzhou, Six Harmonies Pagoda was built by King of Wuyu to ward off Qiantang bore. As high as 59.89 meters, this grand pagoda has 7 sides and 8 stories. Looked down from the top, all Qiantang River beauty is bird viewed. Now near Six Harmonies Pagoda, a Garden of Chinese Ancient Pagodas with more than 100 pagodas and towers in various dynasties has been constructed to display Chinese pagoda culture.
  • Day 6 Hangzhou  Tunxi

  • In the first half of the day, you will be guided to visit the picturesque attractions-Viewing Fish at Flower Harbor, and to taste the fragrant and refreshing Dragon Well Tea. After that, transfer to Tunxi, a village next to the Yellow Mountain, to go sightseeing on Tunxi Ancient Street and settle down there.

    -Viewing Fish at Flower Harbor: A visit to the Flower Harbor is a trip into a picturesque poem You can look at fish, admire flowers, touch trees, listen to birds chirping, and witness the exodus of spring and the arrival of summer You will find yourself close to nature by looking up at the sky, looking down at reflections in water, trying to memorize the momentary shapes of clouds, strolling in a drizzle, or counting stars glittering in the universe.
    -Dragon Well Tea: Hangzhou is famous for its high-quality tea, besides the well-known West Lake. You have the chance to visit a tea plantation and taste some tea if you like.
    -Tunxi Ancient Street: lies in the center of Tunxi district, where the municipality of Huangshan is seated. Set up in Song dynasty, Tunxi Ancient Street became a distribution center for goods and materials to Huizhou during Ming and Qing dynasties. With shops, it looks densely and compactly. The shops, workshops and residences form an organic whole, keeping the characteristic and operation layout of ancient store such as "front shop and back workshop" or "front shop and back house". The located products include the famous tea such as "Tunlu", "Qihong", "Houkui", "Huangshan Maofeng", and Huizhou's inkstick, Shexian's inkslab (two of the "four treasures of the study" in China), and lacquer-ware, bamboo weaving, and etc. With pleasant weather, Tunxi is suitable for tourism all the year round. It is an ideal scenic spot and the only way to the marvelous Huangshan Mountain as well.
  • Day 7 Tunxi  Yellow Mountain

  • Head for the Yellow Mountain Scenic Spot. There, take the cable car to get to the top of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Beihai (North Sea) and Xihai (West Sea) scenic sports. For the night, stay in a hotel on the Mountain.

    -Huangshan Mountain: The renowned Four Wonders of Mt. Huangshan are the spectacular rocks, odd-shaped pines, hot springs and sea of clouds. Other attractions are lakes, waterfalls, streams, rare flowers and animals. Forests cover 83.4% of the area, with some 1,452 species of native plant, which fall into 203 families. Mt Huangshan also has a rich cultural heritage. Xu Xiake, a famous traveler of the Ming Dynasty visited Huangshan twice, and described it in a poem, calling it best of all mountains in China.

  • After breakfast, go sightseeing at the Xihai Grand Canyon and go up to the Bright Summit, the main peak of the Yellow Mountain.

  • After breakfast on the mountain, take cable car to go back down, and then transfer to Nanjing, an ancient capital in China. During the evening, go to visit the Confucius Temple, which takes on its best look under the cover of night.

    -Nanjing Confucius Temple - Centered on the ancient Confucius Temple (Fuzi Miao), this neighborhood in southern Nanjing is the place to be on weekends and holidays. Clothing shops and restaurants dominate the main streets (closed to vehicular traffic) while street stalls in the alleyways sell stuffed animals, plants, CDs and even more clothes.

  • Nanjing gives people an impression of being low key. Yet its profound cultural and historical foundation can be sensed from today’s attractions- Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, Linggu Temple and the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. In the later afternoon, drive back to Shanghai.

    - Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen : It is situated at the foot of the second peak of Mount Zijin (Purple Mountain) in Nanjing, China. Construction of the tomb started in January of 1926 and was finished in spring of 1929. The architect was Lu Yanzhi, who died shortly after it was finished.
    -Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge: In the north-west of the Yangtze River, connecting the urban areas with the Pukou District, it is one of China's own design and construction of double-lane highways, railways dual-use bridge, December 29, 1968 completion.
    -Linggu Temple (Soul Valley): This historical scenic spot has Linggu Temple and Pagoda, Beamless Hall, etc., and a public cemetery of fallen soldiers. Linggu Temple keeps the parietal relics of Monk Xuangzang. The name of Beamless Hall is from its special structure, there isn't even one piece of wood or beam. The altar before Tan Yankai's tomb is an original relic of Yuanmingyuan Garden.
  • Day 11 Shanghai

  • Activities:
  • Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and you are free for the rest of your stay in Shanghai. Our service ends after the guide seeing you off at the airport. Have a pleasant journey and good luck!
